Every spring we open the greenhouse to the neighbourhood. Starts are grown here from seed in our own compost, so what you take home is already used to Kansas City soil and Kansas City weather.
What we usually have
- Tomatoes, peppers and tomatillos, including varieties you will not find at a big-box garden centre
- Culinary herbs — basil, thyme, oregano, sage
- Cool-season greens early in the season, squash and cucumbers later
- Mediterranean grape and fig cuttings, in small numbers
Bring a box
Bring a flat or a box to carry starts home in, and we will help you load. If you are not sure what will do well where you live, ask — working that out with you is the part we enjoy most.
